INCIDENTS OF VIOLENCE ON POLLING DAY
On 22.5.2008 at 1030 Hours at Maduvinakodi village in K.R.Pet Taluk near Primary School building accused Kantharaju and 12 others (JD-S workers) formed themselves into unlawful assembly, picked up quarrel with R. Rangaswamy and his followers residents of Maduvinokodi village (Cong-I workers), threatened them with dire consequences as they are canvassing and casting their votes in favour of Congress Party, assaulted them with clubs, iron rods and hands, causing injuries to Rangaswamy and his brother R. Nagesh. In this connection, a case in MYSORE K.R. Pet Rural PS Cr.No.130/08 u/s 143, 147, 341, 504, 323, 324, 506(2), 114 r/w 149 IPC has been registered and the case is under investigation.
On 22.5.2008 at 1030 hours near Primary School at Maduvinakodi village in K.R.Pet taluk, accused Nagesh and 4 others (Cong-I workers) formed themselves into unlawful assembly with common intention and picked up quarrel with Kantharaju and his followers of Maduvinakodi village, K.R.Pet Taluk JD(S) party workers as thet are canvassing and casting of their votes in favour of JD(S) Party, assaulted with clubs, stones and hands causing injuries to Kantharaju and his brother Manu. A counter case in K.R.Pet Rural PS Cr.No.131/08 u/s 143, 147, 504, 324, 506 r/w 149 IPC has been registered and the case is under investigation.
